Do you have a child protection policy?
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes we have coverage up to £5 million
Do your Artists have CRB/DBS certificates?
Yes all of our Artists and Assistants have CRB certificates which are less than 3 yrs old. Sometimes we may have work experience students work with us who may not have a CRB check. If this is the case the individual will only work with children if they are supervised and we will notify the school.
What ages do you teach?
We teach primary starting at 5 yrs and all of secondary. We also teach children and adults of all abilities.
Who are your Artists?
Dawn Feather is the main Artist. She is our MD and delivers the majority of our workshops. When we need extra help we call in experienced freelancers to help deliver bespoke projects.
How long have you been trading as InspirEd?
InspirEd was officially set up in 2008 by our Boss Dawn. Dawn has been teaching young people how to make films for 14 years! She started when she was just 17 helping out at a summer school.
What am I paying for?
1, Dawn and our freelance Artists are all professionals who work in the media industry. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can work a camera but our team are the real deal with up to date skills and the showreels to prove it. Have a look at Dawns here.
2, We provide all of the equipment needed to run a workshop. This includes cameras, laptops and materials. No need to book out the ICT suite, don’t worry about not having the right software and forget about finding cameras and charging them… We’ll take care of it.
3, InspirEd provides two artists for class sizes larger than 15. We know that it’s sometimes hard for schools to source extra staff members to help out. Our second Artist sets up, packs away and supports children while using the equipment.
4, We think that it’s important to consider the curriculum for each of our sessions. This is why we ask the schools to provide a theme or subject which we can base the workshop around making each project completely bespoke.
We did a workshop with you recently, where can I find the videos we made?
All animations will be uploaded to our Youtube page. Films where children can be identified will be emailed to the school which can then be downloaded.
If we have permission from parents to film children’s faces their films will also be uploaded to Youtube.
I’m interested in working with you as an Artist, how can I get involved?
We’re always interested in hearing from creative artists. We want to hear from filmmakers, musicians, photographers, animators and graphic designers. Send Dawn an email – email@example.com
How do I book a workshop?
Schools please call Dawn on 07887768046 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Parents please fill in the booking form at the top of the page.
I’m a parent and I’d like you to run a project in my child’s school, how can I organise this?
The best thing to do is pass on our details to the school and ask them to get in touch.
Where are you based?
We are based in Yorkshire and we’re very happy to travel anywhere in the Yorkshire/Humber area for no additional cost. If you’re a little further out we may have to add travel expenses onto the fee. You will be notified about this prior to us being hired.
We’re a London school, do you run projects here?
We are happy to run projects in London but additional travel and accommodation fees apply.
