This summer we were invited to provide stop motion workshops for The National Citizen Service. NCS bring’s together young people aged 15-17 yrs from different backgrounds; encouraging new skills, challenges and experiences.
We took part in an experience day. The participants were given a choice of activity including radio, street dance, graffiti, animation and first aid. Over the course of the day we taught two groups of young people, around 20 in the morning and 20 in the afternoon. We ran the course over two non-consecutive days.
The theme for the sessions was ‘good citizen’ as part of the NCS challenge is to run a project for the community. To make sure the workshop was fun we asked the volunteers to create an animation in a monster world – mainly because people are really hard to make and we LOVE modelling monsters 🙂
Here are the brilliant animations made by the NCS groups.
