New! Animate Maths

Using stop motion animation, pupils will create a series of ‘How To….’ Films based on how to solve various maths problems.

Type: Animation

Duration: 1 day (2x 2hr sessions)

No of children: 15 pupils AM & 15 pupils PM.

No of InspirEd Artists: 1

Age: Yr’s 3-6

Skills: ICT, maths, speaking & listening, animation, group work

Equipment/materials provided by school: A classroom or space to work in with the groups. Pen’s, paper and use of the classroom contents to animate with. Standard Maths resources eg numicon, counters, etc

Description:

A 2hr session will include writing a script to demonstrate a maths problem and then using everyday classroom objects, the children will animate a short film.
