Recently we were invited to run a religious education workshop at Parish Church Primary school in Skipton, North Yorkshire.  We were asked to deliver an animation session that had christianity as it’s main theme.  As with most religions there are brilliant stories that you can use as inspiration for animation.  In this case we chose the Pentecost as the story relies on symbolism to describe the coming of the Holy Spirit.

We challenged the children from years 5 and 6 to create a short animation for younger viewers.  Their film must visually show the events of the Pentecost without using dialogue or recorded sound.

The results were fantastic.  Here are a few of our favourites.
